Jeremiah Eames’ Company of Rangers is the Rev War Impression of the Snowshoemen. While Rev War is not our unit’s primary impression, there is a desire to attend events from this time period where we "fit in". Our civilian clothes, mixed arms and fighting techniques are suited for early war events and situations where we can employee our ranger style of fighting.

Research on Eames and his New Hampshire Ranger Company is limited, however we like his name (Steven Eames is the founder of our reenactment group), the fact that it was a ranger company, and drew men from Northern, New Hampshire, tough New Englander's scratching a life from the frontier.

Eames and 50 of his men were garrisoned at Fort Wentworth in Northumberland, NH. They worked on rebuilding the old French and Indian War fort in 1776, and remained their until April of 1777. Jeremiah was one of the original grant holders for what became Northumberland, and was involved in town government for many years following the revolution.
